A Building Brand
The Scottish Festival of Architecture 2016 is a year-long, nation-wide celebration of architecture and design, led by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).
As part of the Festival, we were asked by the Glasgow Institute of Architects to brand and package their festival ale, Architect IPA, made specially by Drygate Brewery to be sold at events throughout the year.
Following GIA’s competition to select six of the nation’s favourite architects, we created label designs, colour palettes, illustrations and motifs, referencing each architect’s respective style.
As Architect IPA is served at pop-up bars and events around the country, our bespoke packaging creates brand recognition.
Our design clearly conveys the vision of the project — placing Scottish architectural talent at the front and centre of the celebrations.

The success of the Architect Ales project can be attributed to the design work provided by Graphical House.
The team at Graphical House tackled our brief with professionalism and creativity throughout.
The resulting product created a new distinct brand within the craft ale market which educated the consumer about the featured architect in an innovative and engaging way.
